Advice and Referrals

The medical staff of Basildon Hospital Renal Unit will provide advice about the guidelines and how to manage patients including referral to secondary care. We are keen to avoid unnecessary referrals but at the same time we wish to ensure that patients are managed correctly.

  Urgent advice or referrals:

Contact the on-call renal consultant via hospital switchboard (01268 524900) or during office hours call 01268 39 4775/4774

For further non-urgent advice:

Write to the renal consultants at the Trust address or by fax on 01268 39 4829

Advice is also available via Choose and Book or SystemOne.

Routine referrals: These should be made through Choose and Book.
