Clinical Indications

Monitoring of patients with multiple sclerosis on treatment with interferon-beta. Some patients develop antibodies which neutralise the effect of the treatment.

Unlabelled sample; insufficient clinical information; assay within last year.

Interpretation

Negative: <20 units
Positive: >100 units

Lab. Handling

Processing: Aliquot (MPA) and store at 4C in separating fridge (CB39), referral rack.
Referral
: IFNAB and send or BPRO and track at -20C in separating freezer (CB40).
